Fashion Stylist (In Store)

About the role
We are looking for a warm, confident and style-aware Fashion Consultant for our Bandra store. This role combines customer styling, sales and basic store management. You will guide customers through our collections, understand their preferences and help them find pieces that fit their lifestyle. You will also ensure smooth store operations, maintain visual standards and assist with daily tasks.
Key responsibilities
Customer styling and sales
- Welcome customers and offer personalised styling based on their tastes
- Understand customer needs, body types and preferred silhouettes
- Help customers build looks across categories
- Guide them on fabric feel, fit, sizes and care
- Drive sales through strong product knowledge and genuine recommendations
- Build long-term relationships that encourage repeat visits
Store experience
- Ensure the store floor looks clean, organised and welcoming
- Keep racks, shelves and displays maintained through the day
- Assist with visual merchandising as per brand standards
- Handle customer queries, feedback and smaller escalations
Store operations
- Manage billing, POS and cash handling accurately
- Maintain daily checklists for cleanliness, stock and presentation
- Handle basic store opening and closing responsibilities
- Track low-stock items and coordinate with the operations team for replenishment
- Manage trial rooms, alterations notes and customer follow-ups
Inventory and coordination
- Monitor inventory flow within the store
- Support weekly and monthly stock counts
- Coordinate with warehouse and logistics for incoming and outgoing pieces
- Ensure customer pickups and exchanges are handled smoothly
Reporting
- Share daily customer observations, fast-moving styles and feedback
- Track personal sales numbers and targets
- Keep simple records of alterations, exchanges and key customer requests
What we're looking for
- 14 years of experience in fashion retail, styling or customer-facing roles
- Good understanding of colour, silhouettes and personal style
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Warm, confident and comfortable interacting with customers on the floor
- High sense of responsibility and the ability to manage tasks smoothly
- Basic comfort with POS systems and simple reporting
- Someone who enjoys premium retail and takes pride in presentation
