Store In-Charge oversees daily warehouse or retail operations. They manage inventory levels, supervise staff, ensure proper material handling, and maintain accurate records. This role is essential for streamlining supply chains, preventing stock shortages, and maintaining safety.Key ResponsibilitiesInventory Management: Track stock levels, conduct periodic physical audits, and prevent stock shrinkage, overstocking, or obsolescence.Receiving & Quality Control: Oversee incoming shipments, verify deliveries against purchase orders, and inspect goods for damage before intake.Storage & Organization: Organize materials logically to maximize space, ensure safety regulations are met, and allow for efficient retrieval.Material Issuance: Issue stock to various departments based on authorized requisition slips and record transactions in the ledger or ERP system.Team Supervision: Train, schedule, and evaluate store staff to ensure smooth daily operations.Department Coordination: Collaborate with procurement, production, accounts (for invoice verification), and sales teams.Essential SkillsInventory Systems: Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP software.Organization: Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and categorization.Leadership: Ability to lead a team and coordinate smoothly across various departments.Math & Analytical Skills: Capability to reconcile financial records, track metrics, and forecast material needs.QualificationsEducation: A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.Experience: Typically requires 2 to 5 years of experience in retail, inventory control, or material handling.
