Buzzzest is a fashion brand that provides online made-to-measure clothing and personalized styling recommendations.
You'll be joining us as a Fashion Design & Operations Intern. Your job will be to work closely with the founder to assist in managing clothing operations, help execute our strategy, and support the entire design process.
Your Role
- Collection Development: Assist in designing trend-forward fashion collections tailored for our e-commerce platform, ensuring they align perfectly with our brand aesthetic.
- Technical Design: Translate creative concepts and sketches into comprehensive tech packs and specifications to guide our in-house or local manufacturing process.
- Data-to-Pattern Translation: Extract online customer sizing data from our measurement software to draft and grade precise, physical made-to-measure patterns.
- Material Sourcing: Physically source high-quality fabrics, trims, and materials from vendors, handling swatch reviews, quality testing, and procurement based on design needs.
- Virtual Styling: Collaborate with the founder to grow our online personal styling services by curating digital lookbooks and crafting personalized client recommendations.
- Production & Quality Control: Track the end-to-end garment journey, from processing the initial online order to overseeing physical production and conducting hands-on quality control checks before shipping.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
- Prior coursework, personal projects, or internship experience related to fashion design and patternmaking.
- Familiarity with translating design concepts into technical sketches; basic understanding of patternmaking and grading.
- Working knowledge of CAD and other relevant fashion design software.
- A solid foundational understanding of garment construction and various fabrics.
- A portfolio showcasing your design concepts, sketches, and any patternmaking projects.
