Key Responsibilities
- Design & styling: Conceptualize, design, and style ethnic collections with a strong focus on sarees and blouses, blending traditional artistry with modern aesthetics.
- Artisan collaboration: Work closely with rural artisans and weavers to develop new designs, motifs, and fabric blends while preserving traditional techniques.
- Sourcing & development: Source sustainable fabrics, trims, and materials; manage product sampling and prototyping with artisan clusters and local vendors.
- Merchandising: Plan and curate collections based on seasons, trends, and customer insights; ensure consistency in storytelling and product appeal.
- Quality control: Ensure high standards in craftsmanship, fit, finishing, and overall garment quality across the supply chain.
- Trend research: Stay updated with ethnic wear trends, consumer preferences, and innovations in handloom and handicrafts.
- Inventory & production Coordination: Coordinate with production and inventory teams to manage timelines, quantities, and stock availability.
- Visual & marketing support: Collaborate with the content and marketing team for styling photoshoots, lookbooks, and brand campaigns.
