Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site internship based in Ahmedabad for a Fashion Design Intern who lives and breathes fashion trends. You'll work closely with the founders on upcoming collections, trend forecasting, product development, and design concepts while gaining hands-on experience in building an emerging athleisure brand.
The ideal candidate has strong sketching abilities, a sharp eye for silhouettes and details, and is constantly keeping up with what's trending across fashion, activewear, social media, and global brands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research emerging fashion, athleisure, and lifestyle trends
- Create trend reports, mood boards, color stories, and design concepts
- Develop detailed fashion sketches and technical drawings
- Assist with collection planning and product development
- Analyze competitor brands and identify market opportunities
- Source fabrics, trims, and design inspirations
- Support sample development, fittings, and design revisions
- Collaborate with the founders on creative direction and upcoming launches
- Stay updated on trends across Pinterest, TikTok, Instagram, and global fashion markets
Qualifications
- Strong sketching and illustration skills
- Excellent understanding of current fashion and athleisure trends
- Passion for activewear, streetwear, and contemporary women's fashion
- Creative thinker with a strong visual eye and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment and adapt quickly
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva, or similar design tools is a plus
- Understanding of fabrics, garment construction, and fit is preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, or a related field
- Previous internships, design projects, or portfolio work are highly preferred
