Role Overview  

We are looking for a Farming Relations & Procurement Executive to support both farmer engagement and on-ground procurement activities. This role is designed to strengthen direct sourcing by building relationships with farmers while also assisting in procurement execution. The candidate will work closely with the Procurement Manager to ensure consistent supply, strong farmer networks, and smooth field operations.

Key Responsibilities  

1. Farmer Engagement & Relationship Building (Primary Focus)  

• Visit farms, villages, and mandis to build strong relationships with farmers
• Act as a consistent point of contact for farmers and local aggregators
• Support onboarding of farmers into direct procurement programs
• Build trust and ensure long-term engagement with farming communities

2. Agricultural Tie-Ups Support  

• Assist in identifying and developing partnerships with farmers, FPOs, and aggregators
• Support execution of direct sourcing models from farm level
• Maintain database of farmers, suppliers, and sourcing clusters 

3. Procurement Execution Support (Secondary Focus)  

• Assist in sourcing coconuts and other raw materials from farmers/markets
• Support price discussions and basic negotiations under guidance
• Help in procurement planning based on daily/weekly requirements 

4. Quality & On-Ground Checks  

• Conduct basic quality checks at farm or aggregation points
• Report quality issues and assist in improving sourcing standards
• Ensure alignment with procurement quality requirements

5. Field Data & Market Insights  

• Collect data on crop availability, pricing, and seasonal trends
• Track mandi rates and farmer-level pricing
• Share insights to support procurement decisions 

6. Logistics & Coordination Support  

• Assist in coordinating pickup and transportation of materials
• Support communication between farmers and internal teams
• Help resolve basic on-ground issues 

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Rural Management, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in agricultural procurement, sourcing, rural operations, supply chain, or farmer engagement.
• Fluency in Kannada (Mandatory).
• Willingness to travel extensively across rural Karnataka.
• Strong negotiation, relationship management, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and basic reporting tools.
• Understanding of agricultural supply chains and procurement processes is preferred.
