Job Description (JD) – Family Office Head
Position Title: Head of Family Office
Reporting To: Principal / Family Board
Location: Indore
Investment Corpus: ₹400 crore
Role Purpose
To lead, manage, and grow the family office by safeguarding wealth, ensuring compliance, and generating sustainable returns across asset classes. The role balances investment strategy, governance, and family legacy objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Investment Management
- Develop and execute investment strategies across equity, debt, real estate, private equity, and alternative assets.
- Monitor portfolio performance, rebalance allocations, and ensure risk-adjusted returns.
- Governance & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to SEBI, RBI, FEMA, and taxation regulations.
- Establish transparent reporting systems for family stakeholders.
- Wealth Preservation & Growth
- Identify opportunities for long-term wealth creation aligned with family values.
- Manage liquidity planning, succession, and estate structuring.
- Operational Oversight
- Supervise finance, accounting, and legal functions.
- Liaise with external advisors (lawyers, tax consultants, fund managers).
- Family Engagement
- Conduct quarterly reviews with family members.
- Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights.
- Risk Management
- Implement frameworks for market, credit, and operational risks.
- Ensure insurance and contingency planning.
Job Specification (JS) – Family Office Head
Education & Qualifications
- MBA/CA/CFA or equivalent in Finance, Investment Management, or Economics.
- Advanced certifications in wealth management or estate planning preferred.
Experience
- 12–18 years in investment management, private banking, or wealth advisory.
- Proven track record of managing portfolios >₹200 crore.
- Exposure to multi-asset strategies and family office governance.
