Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Faculty – Graphic Design role based in the Mohali district. The faculty member will deliver classroom and studio-based instruction in graphic design fundamentals, software tools, and industry practices. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning lessons, preparing teaching materials, conducting critiques, and guiding students on assignments and projects. The role involves mentoring students on portfolio development, supervising practical work, and ensuring that learning outcomes align with academic and industry standards. The faculty member will also participate in curriculum development, academic assessments, faculty meetings, and institute events, while staying updated with current trends in design and visual communication.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in graphic design principles, visual communication, typography, and layout, with the ability to explain concepts clearly to learners.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard design software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and related tools).
  • Experience in classroom teaching, training, or mentoring in design, including lesson planning, assessment, and student guidance.
  • Portfolio demonstrating professional or academic graphic design work across print and digital media.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, or a related design discipline.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse learners and foster an inclusive classroom environment.
  • Ability to collaborate with academic and administrative teams, contribute to curriculum enhancement, and participate in institutional activities.
  • Up-to-date awareness of design trends, emerging tools, and industry practices; prior industry experience is an advantage.
