The Opportunity
As a Factory / Plant Controller, you will play a key role in supporting financial performance, operational excellence, and business decision-making within a dynamic manufacturing environment.
In this role, you will partner closely with operations, supply chain, finance, and business leadership teams to deliver transparency into product and operational performance. You will provide meaningful financial and operational insights through analysis of key performance indicators, product profitability, inventory management, and financial reporting.
You will contribute to monthly and annual closing activities, support forecasting and planning cycles, and ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with internal control requirements. Through proactive analysis and collaboration, you will help identify business risks and opportunities, drive corrective actions, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Analyze and monitor key non-financial KPIs including Order Received, Order Backlog, Gross Margin percentage, and Order Backlog periodization.
Support month-end and year-end closing activities including accruals, provisions, backcharges, result analysis, journal entries, and cash flow forecasting.
Prepare and analyze inventory reports, inventory reconciliations, and NRV assessments while supporting inventory counts.
Perform detailed reviews of Income Statement and Balance Sheet accounts and variance analysis.
Conduct working capital analysis and review inventory aging and obsolescence trends.
Monitor and analyse CAPEX expenditures, providing insights and support for management reporting and financial performance reviews.
Analyze product profitability, product line profitability, overhead absorption, and financial reconciliations.
Execute internal controls activities and support SOX compliance requirements.
Review production order variances, material price variances, and operational KPIs.
Prepare management reports, hub presentations, and analytical insights.
Support budgeting, forecasting, audits, project reviews, Lean and digital transformation initiatives.
Qualified CA/CMA in accounting or equivalent degree in Finance & Accounting.
Must have 5 to 8 years experience in Factory Controlling/Business Controlling including Financial Planning and Analysis, with manufacturing experience in factory background.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with independent problem-solving capability and good communication & presentation skills
Hands-on experience in SAP FICO including CO-PA and understanding on other modules SD/PP/MM.
Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Proactiveness in taking initiatives with a strong commitment to adhering to quality and deadlines. Optimize own performance to increase productivity by developing automated solutions.
Adhering to the Controlling & Planning KPIs to ensure continuous improvement and maintain service quality supporting standardisation/harmonization initiatives.
Proficiency in both spoken & written English with good articulation ability and presentation skills.
