Support studies on Facilities Planning & Technology Selection through Concept Selection, Pre-FEED, preliminary cost estimation, and feasibility report preparation as an individual contributor or SME for assigned areas, coordinating with other disciplines.
Lead or contribute to integrated teams to develop scope definitions of various facility concepts, analyze results, and provide recommendations to maximize business value.
Ensure alignment of recommended scopes with Business Teams, Manufacturing Site/Operations, Process Technology Specialists, and Engineering Specialists.
Develop early Heat & Material Balances, Process Flow Diagrams, Design Philosophies, and Design Basis documentation for new facilities in the Facilities Planning Stage, applying the Right Scope Framework principles for concept stage projects.
Lead or participate in early optimization studies, field verifications, and equipment sizing.
Drive or participate in facilities and systems reviews, including P&ID review, HAZOP, and 3D model reviews, providing resolutions as required.
Develop the Project O&U basis and integrate O&U facilities within existing or new plant designs, ensuring technical quality and completeness of facility definitions.
Prepare planning documentation for internal company reviews to support funding recommendations.
Provide mentoring, technical oversight, and reviews of work from less experienced engineers, ensuring quality, capital efficiency, and schedule adherence.
