Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the escalation point for all facility management-related soft service issues.
  • Ensure immediate response and resolution of priority housekeeping calls and complaints.
  • Conduct regular rounds of shop floors, warehouses, and facility areas to ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained.
  • Develop and continuously improve housekeeping policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Assist in training, mentoring, and development of housekeeping staff including janitors and chambermaids.
  • Prepare and manage duty rosters, shift schedules, and workload allocation for housekeeping teams.
  • Coordinate with plant heads, client representatives, and leadership teams for issue resolution and service alignment.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly housekeeping reports.
  • Ensure all housekeeping checklists are completed as per defined frequency and standards.
  • Conduct shift briefings with supervisors and communicate daily priorities and tasks.
  • Monitor housekeeping staff performance, cleanliness standards, and adherence to SOPs.
  • Maintain staff attendance, grooming, discipline, and shift register documentation.
  • Conduct daily muster of housekeeping staff and assign responsibilities based on operational priorities.
  • Ensure proper stock management of housekeeping consumables and track inventory usage.
  • Coordinate timely procurement and replenishment of cleaning materials and consumables.
  • Ensure all housekeeping equipment is in working condition and maintain service/maintenance records.
  • Follow procurement guidelines and ensure compliance with organizational procedures.
  • Conduct regular facility inspections to identify issues in housekeeping, cafeteria, landscaping, and other soft services.
  • Coordinate with vendors for landscaping, indoor plants, scrap management, and cafeteria services.
  • Monitor vendor performance and ensure adherence to SLA requirements and service quality standards.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of vendors and ensure compliance with operational expectations.
  • Manage canteen and kitchen equipment servicing and ensure timely maintenance.
  • Track employee feedback from clients and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Support background verification (BGV), skill assessment, and monitoring of outsourced housekeeping staff.
  • Ensure proper documentation and reporting of vendor and staff performance.
  • Use digital tools for ticketing, tracking issues, and providing weekly updates on service requests.
  • Ensure discipline, hygiene, proper attire, and etiquette among housekeeping staff.
  • Generate monthly management reports and submit to Facility Manager or reporting authority.
