Facilities and IT Support Specialist

Location: New Jersey, Morristown (Onsite)

Position Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and resourceful Facilities and IT Support Specialist to support the day-to-day operations of our New Jersey and Manhattan office. This on-site role combines facilities management, IT support, and office security coordination. The ideal candidate will ensure our office remains a professional, efficient, and secure environment while helping employees stay productive through reliable technical support.

Key Responsibilities:

Facilities Support (Approximately 50%)

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for facilities vendors, including building management, cleaning services, and maintenance providers.
  • Manage general office maintenance needs, including coordinating repairs, addressing workspace issues, and ensuring the office remains safe and presentable.
  • Oversee conference room setup, including furniture arrangement, AV equipment preparation, troubleshooting, and readiness for meetings and events.
  • Help maintain inventory of office supplies and coordinate ordering and deliveries.
  • Assist with space planning, desk moves, and support general office operations.
  • Administer building access and security badge systems for employees, visitors, and contractors monitor access reports and escalate security concerns as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with office safety and emergency procedures participate in building drills and readiness activities.

IT Support (Approximately 50%)

  • Provide hands-on IT support for laptops, docking stations, monitors, printers, and conference room computers and peripherals. Provide remote IT support for a global workforce.
  • Set up, configure, and deploy hardware for new hires, including imaging laptops and installing software.
  • Create and manage new user accounts (e.g., email, network drives) in coordination with the IT team.
  • Conduct IT onboarding for new hires, including account access, security policies, and collaboration tools (Microsoft Teams, Zoom, etc.).
  • Troubleshoot conference room AV systems, and support in-person and hybrid meetings as needed.
  • Log and manage all support activities in Service Now, following ticketing workflows and escalations.
  • Collaborate with remote IT teams to escalate advanced issues and assist with company-wide IT initiatives.
  • Responsible for hardware logistics, for example, ship, receive, inventory, and prepare laptops and peripherals for new hires, replacements, and repairs.

Security and Access Management:

  • Issue and deactivate building security badges and maintain accurate access logs.
  • Manage visitor access processes and coordinate temporary badges for contractors and guests.
  • Ensure physical and digital security protocols are consistently followed within the office environment.
  • Maintain accurate asset tracking and lifecycle documentation.
  • Perform basic hardware diagnostics and coordinate with senior engineers for escalations.
  • Respond to access control alerts and security-related incidents in collaboration with Facilities and IT leadership.

What you will bring:

  • 2+ years of experience in facilities, IT support, or office coordination role, preferably in a corporate, technology, or professional services environment.
  • Hands-on experience supporting IT hardware in a Windows and Mac environment.
  • Proficient in using Service Now for ticketing and task management.
  • Familiarity with conference room AV equipment and troubleshooting (Teams Rooms, or equivalent).
  • Basic understanding of networking fundamentals (Wi-Fi, VPNs, networked printers).
  • Strong organizational skills with a commitment to detail and follow-through.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills able to support a wide range of employee needs professionally and patiently.
  • Ability to handle confidential information, especially related to security access and employee data.
  • Able to lift/move up to 40 pounds when setting up equipment or moving supplies.
  • Must be willing to travel between our Morristown, NJ office and our New York City office when required.
  • Must be willing to travel to our data center locations (Parsippany, NJ, Hawthorne, NY, Valley Forge, PA)

Bonus points:

  • Experience administering access control or badging systems.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration (basic user management in Azure AD).
  • Prior experience supporting IT and Facilities operations for a mid-sized or enterprise organization.

What Majesco Offers:

Majesco is committed to equal pay and transparency. The annual base salary range for this position is $70,000 to $90,000.

Please note that the salary range information provided is a general guideline and combines all of the distinct labor markets within the United States. It is uncommon for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on a variety of factors. Majesco considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, candidate's work location, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, external market data, as well as market and business considerations when making compensation decisions.
