Facade Designer

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead facade design development from concept through to construction documentation.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure design intent and performance criteria are met.
• Develop and review detailed 2D drawings, system details, and mock-ups.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, industry standards, and sustainability goals.
• Provide technical guidance to junior designers and drafters.
• Evaluate facade materials, systems, and assemblies for technical performance and aesthetics.
• Support site team during installation with technical advice and shop drawing reviews.
• Prepare presentations, reports, and client-facing documentation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in facade design, preferably in large-scale commercial or high-rise projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Strong understanding of facade systems (unitized, stick, curtain wall, cladding, etc.).
• Knowledge of structural behavior, thermal performance, waterproofing, and materials.
• Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (ASTM, BS, EN, local codes).
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience working with international teams and projects is a plus.
