Job Description

We are currently hiring experienced Facade Design Engineers at Gsource Technologies. As a Facade Design Engineer, you will be responsible for creating shop drawings, schematic drawings, and detailing drawings of facades and building enclosures. Experience working on US projects is a must. Gsource works as a design-assist at various phases of facade/building enclosure projects, providing support to architects, general contractors, and manufacturers.

Responsibilities And Duties

• Collaborate with internal architects, general contractors, and other stakeholders to develop innovative facade designs that meet project requirements.
• Create shop drawings, schematic drawings, architectural layouts, presentation drawings, and elevations for various facade systems including rain screen, stone, ceramic or terracotta, metallic framing, closed cavity, storefront, window wall, and curtain wall.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, building codes, and regulations in the design and documentation process.
• Conduct technical analysis and calculations to determine the feasibility and performance of facade systems.
• Utilize software such as AutoCAD or other relevant design software to create accurate and detailed drawings.
• Review and interpret architectural and engineering plans to ensure accurate implementation of design intent.
• Provide design-assist services at various phases of projects, including schematic design, shop drawing development, and construction support.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants to resolve design issues and ensure smooth project execution.
• Stay updated with the latest trends, materials, and technologies in facade design and construction.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records of design changes, specifications, and project correspondence.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture.
• 2-4 years of Relevant Experience in facade design, including creating shop drawings, schematic drawings, and detailing drawings.
• Experience working on US projects and knowledge of US building codes and regulations.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD or other relevant software for facade design.
• Knowledge of various facade systems, materials, and construction techniques.
• Experience with design-assist services for facade/building enclosure projects is a must.
