Job Purpose
To manage end-to-end fabric merchandising activities for woven fabrics, ensuring timely development, sampling, order execution, and coordination with internal departments and buyers.
- Handle woven fabric merchandising from enquiry to bulk production
- Coordinate with weaving, processing, QC, and dispatch teams for smooth order flow
- Develop fabric samples, lab dips, shade approvals, and quality swatches
- Ensure timely submission of samples as per buyer requirements
- Prepare cost sheets, quotations, and order confirmations
- Follow up on bulk production status and ensure on-time delivery
- Monitor quality parameters as per domestic/export buyer standards
- Maintain buyer communication regarding approvals, timelines, and dispatch
- Handle order documentation, MIS, and records
- Support new fabric development in coordination with R&D/production
- Resolve buyer complaints and post-delivery issues, if any
- Any other task assigned by management from time to time
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of woven fabric construction, yarn, weaving & finishing
- Experience in fabric sampling and bulk coordination
- Good understanding of quality standards (GSM, shrinkage, colour fastness, etc.)
- Ability to manage multiple orders simultaneously
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Proficient in AdvanceExcel, SAP systems, and email communication
