Job Details

Location : Marine Lines, Mumbai

Office Days & Timings:  Monday to Saturday

10:30 AM to 7:00 PM (Inclusive ½ hr Lunch Break)

Role Accountabilities:

  • Identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, products and services.
  • Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction.
  • Generate leads and communicate new product developments to prospective clients.
  • Following up new business opportunities and setting up meetings.
  • Generate orders and timely follow up through the entire life cycle with timely payment collection against outstanding.
  • Coordinate with internal team for order processing, return management & timely dispatches.
  • Have a good understanding of the businesses products or services and be able to advise others about them.
  • Discuss promotional strategy and activities with the marketing department.
  • Liaise with the finance team, warehousing and logistics departments as appropriate.
  • Negotiating and renegotiating by phone, email, and in person towards closure and growing accounts.
  • Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the company's CRM or other sales management system.
  • Build strong relationships with industry professionals, competitors, vendors and other personnel.
  • Contribute to the reputation of the organization by entering and achieving professional awards.
  • Manage and train the business development team and manage their KPIs.

Minimum Entry Qualifications

  • Relevant bachelor's degree
  • Superior presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven track record for business closures
  • Skills in prioritizing & triaging obligations
  • Skills in conflict resolution and negotiation
  • Skills in competitive intelligence

Minimum Experience

5+ years experience in business development and sales of yarns or fabrics in the textile industry.

Experience in generating repeat business through existing clients and onboarding new clients.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Generation of new business / new clients.
  • Achieving the given targets in set timelines.
  • Negotiating on the terms of an agreement.
  • Preparing sales reports and setting targets.
  • Client retention rate.
  • New developments and creating demand.
  • Ability to communicate information to team members and customers.
