We are looking for an experienced Fabric Inspector & Auditor to perform on‑site fabric inspections and process audits in mills and garment factories. The ideal candidate combines strong technical fabric knowledge with a rigorous, methodical approach to inspection, documentation and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct on‑site fabric inspections in mills and garment factories using the 4‑point system.
- Accurately calculate roll and shipment quality based on 4‑point system results.
- Independently manage the full inspection process, in coordination with mill and factory teams.
- Perform fabric process and quality audits in mills (from yarn to finishing), assessing controls, documentation and compliance with buyer requirements.
- Identify, classify and document all fabric defects, including CSV, RSV and other common fabric faults.
- Evaluate colour and appearance: colour source and matching criteria, bowing, skewing, shade variation, GSM, rubbing fastness and other key parameters.
- Inspect and audit a wide range of fabrics, from highly embellished materials to standard mill‑made fabrics.
- Apply appropriate techniques for inspecting all‑over embroidery and all‑over printed fabrics.
- Prepare clear, accurate inspection and audit reports using client‑specific templates and digital tools.
- Communicate non‑conformities, risks and improvement points to internal teams, mills and clients where required.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of inspection and audit procedures to drive productivity and consistency.
Profile & Skills
- Several years of experience in fabric inspection in mills or garment factories, including hands‑on use of the 4‑point system.
- Strong technical knowledge of woven, knit and specialty fabrics, including defects, finishing and performance criteria.
- Solid understanding of fabric quality systems, process control and audit principles.
- Comfortable handling multiple inspections/audits per day with high accuracy and productivity.
- Good reporting skills; able to complete detailed, client‑specific reports in English.
- Strong communication and coordination skills with mill, factory and buyer teams.
- Flexibility to travel frequently on short notice to different production locations.
