Position: Fabric & Trim Sourcing & Development Manager
Location: Gurugram, Haryana

We are looking for an experienced and highly resourceful Fabric & Trim Sourcing & Development Manager to join our growing team.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in high-fashion garment manufacturing, material development, vendor management, and sourcing of both domestic and imported fabrics/trims. This role requires a sharp eye for fashion materials, strong market relationships, negotiation skills, and the ability to execute developments under tight timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
• Source and develop fabrics, trims, embellishments, washes, dyeing techniques, embroideries, and specialty materials aligned with buyer/design requirements
• Develop and maintain a strong vendor network across fabrics, trims, dyeing, printing, embroidery, wash, and surface development units
• Handle sourcing of imported materials and coordinate with overseas suppliers for developments and bulk production
• Negotiate pricing, MOQs, lead times, and commercial terms with suppliers
• Work closely with merchandising, design, sampling, production, planning, and quality teams to ensure timely material availability
• Manage material developments from concept to bulk execution
• Ensure quality compliance, testing requirements, and material approvals before production
• Maintain strong backup vendor strategies and continuously explore innovative materials and supplier capabilities
• Track market trends, fabric innovations, and sustainable material developments
• Monitor order status, deliveries, and risk factors to avoid production delays
• Maintain organized fabric and trim libraries for ongoing and future collections
Preferred Experience & Skills:
• 7–12 years of experience in fabric/trims sourcing within premium, designer, export, or high-fashion garment manufacturing
• Strong understanding of woven fabrics, embellishments, trims, garment construction, dyeing, washing, and surface techniques
• Existing vendor network within domestic and international sourcing markets preferred
• Experience handling imported trims/fabrics and understanding of landed costing, import timelines, and documentation
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced development-oriented environment
• Familiarity with ERP systems, Excel, costing sheets, and inventory planning systems
• Knowledge of sustainable and certified materials is an added advantage
