Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced L3 F5 Load Balancer Engineer (7–12 years) with strong hands‑on expertise in F5 BIG‑IP LTM and GTM. The ideal candidate will manage, optimize, and enhance global and local traffic management environments, ensure platform stability, perform lifecycle upgrades, and drive automation and standardization across F5 platforms. This role requires deep technical proficiency, strong troubleshooting ability, and experience working in mission‑critical enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and manage F5 BIG‑IP LTM and GTM environments.
  
• Create and update virtual servers, pools, pool members, and associate required profiles.
  
• Configure and modify SSL profiles, offloading, bridging, and certificate management.
  
• Create and modify iRules for redirection, traffic manipulation, and routing logic.
  
• Configure SNAT pools, health monitors, priority groups, and load‑balancing algorithms.
  
• Optimize SSL ciphers to improve security grades and resolve vulnerabilities.
  
• Perform F5 BIG‑IP upgrades (v15.x → v16.x → v17.x) including firmware and OS lifecycle management.
  
• Drive platform hygiene, technical debt reduction, and configuration standardization.
  
• Implement automation and tooling improvements for operational efficiency.
  
• Ensure platform stability, performance, security, and compliance across environments.
  
• Troubleshoot and resolve L3-level traffic, connectivity, and configuration issues.
  
• Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and security teams to support business operations.
  
  

Required Skills and Qualification

• 5–10 years of hands‑on experience with F5 BIG‑IP LTM and GTM.
  
  
• Strong expertise in:
  
• Managing LTM/GTM modules
  
• Creating/modifying virtual servers, pools, and profiles
  
• Designing SSL/TLS offloading & bridging
  
• Writing/modifying basic iRules
  
• Configuring SNAT pools and load‑balancing methods
  
• Hands-on experience with SSL certificates, certificate import, and profile assignment.
  
• Strong understanding of priority groups, load‑balancing algorithms, health & performance monitors.
  
• Experience upgrading F5 platforms and managing firmware/OS lifecycle.
  
• Solid troubleshooting expertise across L3–L7 traffic flows.
  
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  
  

Good to have Skills

• Experience in automation/scripting (Python, Bash).
  
  
• Knowledge of security hardening for load balancers.
  
• Exposure to multi‑datacenter traffic management or global traffic routing.
  
• Experience integrating F5 with cloud or container environments.
  
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, etc.).
