Job Description

Job Summary

The Captain is responsible for supervising the service team, ensuring excellent guest experience, and maintaining high service standards in the restaurant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervises and guides stewards and junior staff during service.
  • Ensures guests are welcomed, seated, and served in a professional manner.
  • Takes orders accurately and suggests menu items when required.
  • Ensures timely service of food and beverages.
  • Handles guest queries, complaints, and provides quick resolutions.
  • Maintains coordination between kitchen and service team.
  • Checks table setup, cleanliness, and overall restaurant readiness.
  • Trains and supports team members to improve service quality.
  • Ensures grooming and hygiene standards are followed by the team.
  • Assists in billing and payment processes when required.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience in a fine dining or premium restaurant.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership and team handling ability.
  • Knowledge of food & beverage service standards.
  • Presentable with good grooming standards.
  • Ability to handle pressure during busy service hours.
