Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate
Eye Surgeon (Ophthalmologist) to join our medical team. The successful candidate will diagnose, manage, and treat conditions and diseases affecting the eye through both surgical and non-surgical methods. This role requires a high level of precision, strong patient communication skills, and a commitment to delivering the highest quality of eye care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform surgical procedures to treat a variety of eye conditions, including cataracts, glaucoma, retinal disorders, corneal diseases, and eye trauma.
- Conduct pre-operative and post-operative assessments and consultations.
- Diagnose and manage both acute and chronic eye conditions.
- Prescribe medications, corrective lenses, and other non-invasive treatments.
- Use specialized diagnostic tools such as slit lamps, retinal cameras, and OCT scanners.
- Collaborate with optometrists and other specialists to coordinate patient care.
- Maintain detailed patient records and documentation in compliance with medical standards and regulations.
- Stay current with developments in ophthalmology through continuing education and professional development.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a residency in Ophthalmology.
- Board certification (or eligibility) in Ophthalmology.
- Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in [state/country].
- Fellowship training in a subspecialty (e.g., retina, cornea, oculoplastics) is a plus.
- Experience in conducting pre-operative and post-operative assessments and consultations.
