Scope of Role:

This position is responsible for exterior trims product development and details product design according to standards and guidelines. Translate defined product design performance criteria in Engineering CAD data & specifications.

Area of Responsibility:

This position is responsible for new design and development of exterior trims like Bumpers, Wheel arch liners, Cladding, Under tray, Cowl vent grill, Canopy parts, Roof rail finishers, Spoiler etc. Should be able to produce engineering design and concepts into 3D model using CATIA V5/V6.

.Complete ownership of Design and development of exterior trim, Create Master sections considering Tooling Feasibilities leading and progressing the design in line with the program timescales and deliverable cadence 3D& 2D (CATIA V5/V6)

.Ensuring that the all-project deliverables is met at given time with Dashboard document.

.To be able to assign and get the work done from team members effectively.

.Should be able to lead the design reviews with cross functional teams & lead engineers.

.A dequate knowledge of plastic moulding and design process, DFMEA, DVP, DFA/DFM.

.Knowledge of GD&T, component drawings, Standards an d Guidelines etc.

.Ensure Standard methodologies are followed to meet Regulatory, Safety & Quality requirements.

.Identifying all risks of the programme and make appropriate capitalization documents (Lessons learned, Technical Reports) to feed/improve Design and Development standards and guidelines.

.Hands-on approach to validating concepts and troubleshooting related to Bumper system.

. Ensuring all relevant documentation as per ISO& quality standards.

Knowledge / Experience:

.Experience in automotive product engineering experience required specifically in automotive Bumper system & component design.

.Good Design and development knowledge of complete Bumper system which includes Front and Bumper System, Radiator Grille, Bumper Reinforcements, PED rails, & Bumper beam, etc.

.Good understanding of master section development, Style feasibility, commonality for different variants, DVP, DFMEA, etc. required.

.Excellent communications skills demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels.

.Working knowledge of project delivery processes.

.Working experience with global OEM cross functional teams will be an added advantage.

.Should be good Team player with positive attitude & good approach.

Skills:

.Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills, adapting style to suit different audiences, demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels.

.PC Literacy: Microsoft Project, Power Point, Excel, Word, etc.

.Demonstrates and fosters a sense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goals.

.In-depth functional knowledge of Bumpers and Child parts.

.Proficiency in use of various modules of 3D Experience and Team enter.

.Analytical, logical, and criti cal thinking ability.

Qualification:

.BE/B. Tech in Mechanical/Production/ Automotive Engineering
