Job Description

The role

You will own the sales desk of Process Speciality Chemicals: turn incoming inquiries from India, Europe, Australia and Asia into confirmed, paid orders, and build new export accounts. We already receive regular RFQs and purchase orders for calcium and magnesium pidolate, picolinates and intermediates; this role makes sure each one is quoted correctly, followed up and closed.

You report directly to the Director, work from our Dombivli office, and are supported by a sales coordinator who handles COAs, samples and documentation.

Key responsibilities

Inquiries to orders

  • Reply to every RFQ within the same working day with a complete offer: price, Incoterm (EXW / FOB Nhava Sheva / CIF), quantity, packing, lead time, payment terms and validity
  • Send the right supporting documents: COA, TDS, MSDS, GMP / ISO / Halal certificates, as each buyer requires
  • Follow up every open offer on a fixed schedule until it becomes a PO or a clear no; issue proforma invoices and push for advance payment or LC
  • Keep stock and lead-time commitments consistent across all buyers, confirmed with production before quoting

Export execution

  • Get freight quotes from forwarders (sea FCL / LCL, air), compare and book
  • Coordinate commercial invoice, packing list, labels and shipping documents with the office team; track shipments to delivery
  • Follow up export incentives (drawback / RoDTEP) and buyer payments

New business

  • Build a target list of pharma, nutraceutical and cosmetic buyers and distributors in the EU, US, Australia and Asia
  • Run personalised outreach by email and LinkedIn — no mass blasts; every claim in a pitch must be one we can show to an auditor
  • Keep our listings on IndiaMART, TradeIndia and similar portals current, and handle their leads
  • Maintain a CRM or shared tracker of every lead, offer and order; report pipeline and won orders to the Director every week
Requirements
  • B.Sc. / M.Sc. Chemistry, B.Pharm or Chemical Engineering; MBA (International Business) is a plus
  • 3–5 years in export sales of chemicals, APIs, pharma intermediates or nutraceutical ingredients
  • Hands-on with Incoterms, export pricing, freight forwarders and export documentation
  • Clear, correct business English — you will write daily to purchase and QA teams in Europe and Australia
  • Track record of closing orders yourself, not only generating inquiries
  • Organised: you keep every offer and follow-up in a tracker and nothing goes unanswered
Good to have
  • Existing contacts among EU, US or Australian pharma / nutraceutical buyers or distributors
  • Familiarity with Ph. Eur. / BP / USP grades, COAs, and buyer questionnaires (TSE/BSE, elemental impurities, nitrosamines)
  • Experience with LC, advance-payment terms and DGFT export incentives
  • LinkedIn Sales Navigator or similar prospecting tools
  • Hindi and Marathi
