Job Summary
To develop and expand international business for whole spices, blended spices, and dry fruits by identifying global markets, managing export sales, and building strong relationships with overseas clients and distributors.
Key Responsibilities
International Business Development
- Identify potential international markets and generate new business leads
- Develop and maintain relationships with overseas clients, distributors, and importers
- Use B2B platforms, trade portals, and exhibitions for lead generation
Export Sales Execution
- Handle export inquiries and convert them into orders
- Manage the complete export sales cycle (inquiry to dispatch)
- Achieve assigned sales targets and ensure customer satisfaction
- Support negotiation of pricing and commercial terms
Market Research
- Conduct basic research on international markets and competitors
- Identify customer requirements and assist in market expansion strategies
Documentation & Co ordination
- Ensure proper export documentation (Invoice, Packing List, BL, COO, etc.)
- Coordinate with CHA, freight forwarders, and logistics partners
- Ensure compliance with international standards (FSSAI, APEDA, ISO, HACCP, etc.)
- Handle regulatory requirements of different countries
Branding & Marketing
- Participate in international trade fairs and exhibitions
- Manage online B2B platforms
- Develop export marketing materials (catalogues, brochures)
- Build brand presence in global markets
Pricing & Costing
- Prepare export pricing considering FOB/CIF terms
- Monitor currency fluctuations and margins
- Optimize cost for logistics and packaging
Coordination & Operations
- Coordinate with production for export orders
- Ensure timely dispatch and shipment tracking
- Work closely with finance for payments, LC, and remittances
MIS & Reporting
- Maintain export sales reports and pipeline data
- Track inquiry conversion ratio
- Report country-wise performance to management
Qualification
- Graduate in any discipline; MBA in Sales, Marketing, or Business Management preferred
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in FMCG sales
- Strong track record of consistently achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
- Proven experience in expanding distribution networks and market penetration
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in managing and developing sales teams
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
