Job Summary:We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager to handle USA export operations with a strong focus on ISO Tank (Tank Container) logistics. The role involves managing end-to-end export shipments, ensuring compliance, and coordinating tank movements for liquid and chemical cargo.
Key Responsibilities:Export Operations (USA):- Manage end-to-end export shipments to the USA via ocean and air.
- Prepare and verify export documentation (Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, COO, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with US export regulations and international trade laws.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs brokers.
- Track shipments and provide timely updates to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Handle exceptions, delays, and resolve operational issues efficiently.
ISO Tank / Tank Operations:- Manage ISO Tank export operations for liquid and chemical shipments.
- Coordinate with tank operators, depots, surveyors, and cleaning stations.
- Monitor tank availability, positioning, and movement.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and handling procedures for hazardous/non-hazardous cargo.
- Oversee tank loading, cleaning, maintenance, and turnaround timelines.
- Handle documentation related to tank shipments (Tare weight, cleaning certificates, EIR, etc.).
- Work closely with trucking teams for tank movement and drayage.
Team & Process Management:- Supervise and guide the operations team for smooth execution.
- Coordinate with internal departments (Sales, Warehouse, Finance).
- Ensure SOP adherence and process improvements.
- Prepare operational reports and performance metrics.
Mandatory Requirements:- 36 years of experience in USA Export Operations.
- Hands-on experience in ISO Tank / Tank Container Operations.
- Strong knowledge of export documentation and compliance.
- Understanding of hazardous cargo handling and safety norms.
- Knowledge of Incoterms, HS Codes, and customs procedures.
Preferred Skills:- Experience in logistics / freight forwarding / chemical logistics.
- Familiarity with tank operators and depot networks.
- Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in night shift aligned with USA time zones.
