Job Title: Export-Import & Logistics Specialist (Engineering Goods)
Location: Bangalore
Experience: 3–6 Years (flexible based on depth of exposure)
Role Summary
We are looking for a hands-on Export-Import & Logistics Specialist with solid experience in managing international trade operations for engineering goods. The role requires strong knowledge of customs procedures, documentation, and regulatory compliance, including handling dual-use items and DAP shipments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end export and import operations for engineering goods
- Handle shipment planning, coordination, and execution with freight forwarders and logistics partners
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs laws, and company policies
- Prepare and review export-import documentation (Invoice, Packing List, BL/AWB, COO, etc.)
- Manage and monitor DAP (Delivered at Place) shipments, ensuring timely delivery and cost efficiency
- Handle procedures related to dual-use items, including regulatory approvals and compliance checks
- Coordinate with customs brokers for smooth clearance of goods
- Track shipments and proactively resolve delays, discrepancies, or compliance issues
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits and internal reporting
- Work closely with internal teams (procurement, finance, engineering) for seamless operations
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, International Business, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in export-import operations, preferably in engineering/manufacturing domain
- Strong understanding of customs procedures and international trade regulations
- Hands-on experience with DAP shipments and Incoterms
- Knowledge of dual-use items compliance and export control regulations
- Proficiency in export-import documentation and compliance processes
- Good coordination and stakeholder management skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle or similar)
- Familiarity with DGFT regulations and Indian customs procedures
- Certification in logistics/supply chain (optional but valuable)
