We are looking for an experienced Export EDI Filer to handle end-to-end documentation and coordination for import and export cargo clearance (Air & Sea).
The candidate will be responsible for preparing and verifying customs documents, coordinating with exporters and clearance agents, and ensuring timely shipment clearance in compliance with customs regulations.
This role requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of customs procedures, and the ability to manage documentation independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, verify, and submit export and import documentation for customs clearance (Air & Sea shipments).
- Ensure accurate preparation of invoices, bills of lading, certificates of origin, E-Sanchit documentation, and other statutory documents.
- Handle AD Code registration and maintain proper documentation records.
- Ensure compliance with Indian customs regulations, trade laws, and international shipping guidelines.
- Stay updated with customs rules, tariff classifications, and policy changes.
- Coordinate with exporters, CHA (Custom House Agents), and operations teams for smooth cargo clearance.
- Follow up with customs officials and agents to avoid shipment delays.
- Resolve issues such as documentation discrepancies, shipment holds, or clearance delays.
- Maintain proper records for audit and compliance purposes.
- Monitor and manage duties, taxes, and other customs-related charges.
Requirements
- Graduation in any discipline.
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in export & import customs clearance (Air & Sea).
- Strong knowledge of customs documentation and compliance procedures.
- Good command of English (written and verbal).
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Email).
- Strong coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle responsibilities with minimal supervision.
