Ciklum is looking for an Expert Python Engineer to join our team full-time in India.

About the Role:
As an Expert Python Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Python and Django
- Architect and implement core components for:
- Marketplace systems (catalog, transactions, integrations)
- Workflow engine (process automation, orchestration, state management)
- Collaborate closely with frontend teams to integrate APIs with UI prototypes
- Lead backend development efforts, ensuring code quality, performance, and scalability
- Define and enforce best practices in system design, coding standards, and security
- Optimize applications for maximum speed, efficiency, and reliability
- Work with cross-functional teams including product, DevOps, and QA
- Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
Requirements:
- 10+ years of professional experience in backend development
- Strong expertise in Python and Django framework
- Deep understanding of RESTful API design and microservices architecture
- Experience with database design (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar)
- Solid knowledge of asynchronous programming, caching, and performance optimization
- Familiarity with workflow engines / orchestration systems is a strong plus
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Proficiency in version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong problem-solving skills and system design capabilities
Desirable:
- Experience in building marketplace platforms or e-commerce systems
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Exposure to event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.)
- Understanding of security best practices and data protection
