About the RoleWe're looking for a highly skilled eCommerce Video Editor to join Vysta Paid Media Group full-time. This is not a cinematic storytelling role. This is a performance-driven editing role focused on improving paid ad results.
Your primary responsibility will be taking already recorded footage, UGC, brand assets, and existing ads, and transforming them into high-converting creatives for Meta, YouTube, and other paid channels.
You will not be responsible for filming. You will be responsible for turning raw and existing content into revenue-generating ads.
What You'll Do- Edit already existing videos into high-converting paid ad creatives
- Create multiple variations from the same base footage (different hooks, CTAs, pacing, captions)
- Cut long-form content into short-form ad units (1545 seconds)
- Improve pacing, retention, and hook strength within the first 3 seconds
- Add performance-driven elements such as:
- Strong on-screen hooks
- Pattern interrupts
- Dynamic captions
- Clear CTAs
- Visual emphasis on benefits and offers
- Repurpose winning creatives into new iterations to fight ad fatigue
- Follow structured creative briefs from our media buying team
- Deliver fast turnaround edits for testing cycles
What This Role Is Not- Not cinematic YouTube editing
- Not brand-only storytelling
- Not filming or content production
- Not generic social media editing
This role is strictly performance marketing focused.
What We're Looking For- 3+ years editing direct-response or eCommerce ad creatives
- Strong understanding of:
- Hook-first editing
- Retention optimization
- Conversion psychology
- Paid media creative testing
- Experience editing for Meta Ads and YouTube Ads
- Ability to create multiple creative angles from the same raw footage
- Fast turnaround speed without sacrificing quality
- Fluent English communication
- Highly organized with strong file management
Software Requirements- Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or DaVinci Resolve
- After Effects (preferred)
- Ability to add dynamic captions and motion graphics
- Strong understanding of 9:16, 1:1, and 16:9 formatting
What Success Looks Like- Your edits improve CTR, CVR, and overall ROAS
- You consistently produce creative variations for rapid testing
- Winning creatives are scaled profitably
- You proactively suggest new edit angles and hook ideas
