We are looking for a Senior Forecasting & Advanced Analytics Specialist who can design, develop, and scale forecasting solutions across complex business environments. The role requires strong expertise in time-series modeling, machine learning forecasting, model ensembling, performance evaluation, and explainability frameworks.
The candidate will lead forecasting strategy, experiment with advanced models, automate pipelines, and provide insights that influence strategic business decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, evaluate, and deploy advanced time-series forecasting models using statistical methods (ARIMA, SARIMA, ETS, Prophet etc) and machine learning/deep learning frameworks (XGBoost, LightGBM, LSTM/GRU)
- Good analysis skills to present the data with Time series analysis and hypothesis testing
- Implement ensemble forecasting techniques, including Weighted model selection
- Build multi-horizon and hierarchical forecasts and ensure coherence using reconciliation methods
- Handle complex seasonality, trend shifts, holiday effects, and outlier/structural break detection
- Evaluate model performance using advanced metrics (MAPE, sMAPE, MASE, WAPE, Pinball loss)
- Apply online learning techniques and evaluate SOAT models with existing framework to dynamically update forecast model weights
- Build explainability layers using methods to narrate a story with feature importance decomposition, error breakdown, and model diagnostics
- Work closely with business teams to translate analytical output into actionable insights
- Automate forecasting pipelines using Python, R, SQL, cloud frameworks, and CI/CD processes
- Design experiments, manage backtesting frameworks, and lead forecasting accuracy improvements
