We are Life & Health Data & Analytics Re, a key technology partner for our Reinsurance divisions. We support the transformation of the data landscape and create innovative analytical products and capabilities. Our goal is to enable Swiss Re's L&H business to make data-driven decisions.
Our team and partners are located across various countries and serve a global customer base. We manage a broad range of existing products and continuously develop a pipeline of new and exciting analytics solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of analytics products, from conception through to business-as-usual support.
- Act as a connector between business and data, advising on data use to enhance business outcomes.
- Gather requirements, design solutions, and build impactful analytics applications using strategic platforms, emphasizing rapid prototyping and iteration.
- Contribute to the design and development of user-centric data models aligned with business understanding.
- Apply product management principles to ensure delivery of effective, scalable products that fit business needs.
- Support planning and prioritization processes such as quarterly business reviews (QBR).
- Design robust data architecture and engineering structures to support new analytical initiatives.
- Collaborate with application teams, data warehouse teams, and external partners/vendors for solution implementation.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on source data: profile and document data objects, business rules, and caveats.
- Develop comprehensive reporting frameworks and deliverables.
- Support issue resolution, production incident and problem management, and contribute to production Go-Live activities.
- Adapt to new platforms and build solutions in alignment with organizational initiatives.
Requirement
- 5+ years of data-related work experience in financial services, consulting, or technology.
- 3+ years of experience in building data visualizations and workflows for end-users.
- 3+ years of experience with SQL for data analysis and testing.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI.
- Strong skills in stakeholder management and ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to deliver business-oriented technical solutions.
- Experience in data modeling, data pipelines, and information modeling.
- Hands-on experience or familiarity with agile methodologies.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with ability to engage across levels of seniority.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Capable of managing multiple priorities and performing under time pressure.
Nice to Have
- Working knowledge of Palantir Foundry.
- Experience in the (Re-)Insurance industry.
- Familiarity with Python or PySpark.
- Knowledge of TypeScript.
- Agile certifications (e.g., Product Owner, Scrum Master, Agile Project Management, Kanban).
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., engineering, computer science, or other quantitative disciplines) or a business degree with complementary technical experience.
- Postgraduate degree is a plus.
