Job Purpose:
To track and expedite purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of materials and services by coordinating with vendors and internal stakeholders and by proactively identifying and resolving schedule-related issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Track purchase orders from issuance to delivery ensuring adherence to agreed delivery schedules and milestones.
- Follow up with vendors on manufacturing progress, inspection readiness, dispatch status and documentation.
- Maintain expediting trackers, delivery schedules and status reports for procurement and project teams.
- Identify potential delays or risks and escalate issues to procurement, contracts or project teams in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with quality, logistics, inspection agencies and warehouses to support smooth dispatch and receipt of materials.
- Ensure compliance with contractual delivery terms, documentation requirements and packing/shipping instructions.
- Support inspection coordination and readiness activities prior to dispatch.
- Update internal stakeholders on delivery status, critical items and corrective actions.
- Maintain proper records and documentation to support audits and internal reviews.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Commerce or Management.
- 3-5 years of experience in expediting, procurement follow-up or supply chain coordination roles.
- Basic understanding of purchase orders, delivery terms and logistics processes.
- Strong follow-up, coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to work with multiple vendors and manage competing priorities.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems for tracking and reporting.
