Key Responsibilities of Role
Strategic Leadership & Sustainability Planning
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sustainability roadmap aligned with corporate objectives.
- Identify emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in horticulture and sustainable agriculture to strengthen organizational strategy.
- Lead cross-functional sustainability initiatives and provide guidance to regional teams.
- Product Development & Innovation
- Drive research, development, and deployment of innovative horticulture products, tools, and technologies.
- Evaluate market needs, conduct feasibility assessments, and ensure product solutions meet both business and sustainability goals.
- Partner with R&D, supply chain, and operations to integrate sustainable practices into product life cycles.
- Horticulture Expertise & Program Management
- Oversee the design, implementation, and monitoring of horticultural programs across the organization's ecosystem.
- Ensure adoption of advanced horticultural practices, climate-smart approaches, and resourceefficient methodologies.
- Provide technical guidance and training to internal teams, partners, and stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
- Build strong relationships with farmers, vendors, government bodies, academic institutions, and industry experts.
- Facilitate collaboration across departments to align sustainability priorities and operational goals.
- Represent the organization in external forums, conferences, and knowledge-sharing platforms.
- Governance, Monitoring & Reporting
- Establish performance metrics, monitoring systems, and evaluation frameworks for sustainability initiatives.
- Track program outcomes, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and drive continuous improvements.
- Prepare periodic sustainability reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership review.
- Team Leadership & People Development
- Lead and mentor the sustainability and horticulture teams to build technical capability and high performance.
- Promote a culture of innovation, learning, and accountability.
- Guide team members in managing projects, problem-solving, and achieving business objectives.

- Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
