Executive - Terminal Operations - Rail & Inland Terminals - Hazira

Key responsibilities

• Operate train steel racks for loading/unloading steel coils, bars, plates, or related materials.

• Ensure correct placement, stacking, and securing of steel items to prevent damage and accidents.

• Inspect steel racks and equipment daily report any defects or malfunctions.

• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for material handling.

• Coordinate with yard supervisors, crane operators, and logistics teams for smooth workflow.

• Maintain records of material movement and rack utilization.

• Adhere strictly to safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE during operations.

• Support housekeeping activities to keep yard/rack areas organized and hazard-free.

• Assist in periodic inventory and stock verification of steel materials.

• Attention to detail in handling heavy materials.

• Commitment to safe operations and minimizing material damage.

• Shift-based work as per operational requirements.

• To follow HSE and security norms of the company strictly and its implementation on the ground.

Qualification & Competencies

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3-4 years experience in steel yard / warehouse / heavy material handling.
• Knowledge of train steel rack operation and steel handling safety practices.
• Ability to read load charts, weight limits, and basic technical instructions.
• Physically fit with good hand-eye coordination.
• Strong safety awareness and discipline in following procedures.
• Stakeholder management.
• Adaptability and ability to work in a dynamic environment.
• Good communication skills to coordinate with team members.
