Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Prototype Procurement & Management
- You will be responsible for securing prototype materials for our development projects. This includes:
- Issuing Requests for Quotations (RFQs) and negotiating with suppliers to achieve optimal costs while adhering to project budgets.
- Independently ensuring timely material delivery in accordance with project deadlines and test plans; this includes actively monitoring supplier delivery schedules to anticipate and prevent delays.
- Ensuring the quality of ordered prototypes and collaborating with R&D to manage and prevent quality deviations.
- Executing administrative workflows, including updating price lists, placing orders, and managing invoices.
2. Project & Commodity Sourcing Support
- A key component of this role is supporting our Project & Commodity Sourcing Managers within our cross-functional serial material purchasing process. This includes:
- Participating in cross-functional meetings and collaborative alignment activities.
- Preparing and issuing RFQs, ensuring supplier quotes are received before deadlines, and compiling/analyzing the incoming data.
- Gathering and consolidating inputs from all relevant cross-functional stakeholders to support supplier nomination decisions.
