Job Description

Executive / Sr. Executive – Sales (SP) is responsible for executing sales activities within the assigned territory to achieve business objectives for Surgical products. The role focuses on building strong, trust‑based relationships with healthcare professionals, expanding market presence, and delivering sustainable business growth while adhering to Olympus ethical standards and commitment to patient well‑being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure effective customer call coverage across the designated territory in line with organizational policies, with a strong focus on understanding clinical requirements and supporting positive patient outcomes.
  • Organize appointments and meetings with community‑ and hospital‑based healthcare professionals, demonstrating professionalism, responsiveness, and a customer‑centric and empathetic approach.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities while strictly adhering to ethical practices, compliance standards, and organizational guidelines.
  • Demonstrate and present Surgical products to doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, clearly communicating clinical value, safety, and relevance to patient care.
  • Conduct live product demonstrations effectively, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and relevance to clinical application and patient safety.
  • Implement marketing plans and market development initiatives that deliver measurable business impact while maintaining brand integrity.
  • Gather and analyze market intelligence, competition insights, and customer feedback to support continuous improvement and innovative approaches to customer engagement.
  • Maintain accurate reporting of sales activities and pipeline data (PCL) to support disciplined execution and result orientation.
  • Develop and manage strong relationships with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders through trust, respect, and long‑term collaboration.
  • Negotiate contracts in a fair, transparent, and professional manner, ensuring mutually beneficial and compliant outcomes.
  • Meet both business and scientific needs of healthcare professionals by aligning solutions with evolving clinical practices and patient requirements.
  • Attend and organize trade exhibitions, conferences, and meetings to strengthen market presence and organizational impact.
  • Manage budgets responsibly with a focus on efficiency, accountability, and ethical stewardship.

Primary Duties

  • Plan and execute customer visits, appointments, and product presentations in hospitals and clinics.
  • Conduct clinical discussions and product demonstrations aligned with patient care needs.
  • Communicate product features, benefits, and appropriate usage clearly and responsibly.
  • Support commercial discussions and negotiations in line with organizational policies.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to enhance sales effectiveness.
  • Ensure efficient utilization of budgets and resources.

Inherent Requirements

Formal Qualifications

  • B.Sc. (Science) or B.Tech in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical, Digital Electronics, or Pharma Science

Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience in medical equipment / capital equipment / surgical industry
  • Willingness to travel extensively
  • Maintains a professional image that reflects positively on the organization

Key Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Effective coordination and interpersonal skills to work across functions
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook)
