Job Description

Role: Executive / Senior Specialist / Assistant Manager - Consumer & Market Insights

About Us: Scrubsy is India's #1 foam-based household cleaner - trusted by thousands of families for kitchen, bathroom, footwear, and all-purpose cleaning. We're a fast growing D2C brand under BoldChem Science Pvt. Ltd., scaling rapidly across Amazon, our own website, and quick commerce platforms. We are a funded organization. We move fast, we care deeply about quality and we're building the team that is passionate!

Brief: Scrubsy is building out a dedicated Consumer & Market Insights function to put the consumer at the centre of everything we launch, from formulations to fragrance to packaging to campaigns.

As Executive / Senior Specialist / Assistant Manager - Consumer and Market Insights, you will be a core member of that team, working closely with the Senior Manager - Consumer and Market Insights. You will run the day-to-day research: Coordinating fieldwork with agency partners, Supporting Qualitative and Quantitative studies, Analysing Consumer and Market Data and turning them into clear, well-told and actionable findings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support end-to-end research. Help plan and run Qualitative and Quantitative studies from Brief to Final Report.
  • Coordinate agency and field partners. Share briefs, discussion guides and questionnaires, track timelines and fieldwork quality, and keep projects moving on schedule.
  • Analyse and synthesise. Work through transcripts, verbatims, surveys and market data to pull out trends, themes, need states and clear takeaways.
  • Build the story. Prepare clean, insight-led presentations and toplines for the Leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Track the consumer after launch. Monitor reviews, ratings, feedback and repeat signals from our D2C website and marketplaces, and flag what needs attention.
  • Do desk research. Scan Category, Competitor and Trend information to support study design and brand, R&D and marketing questions.
  • Keep the insights engine organised. Maintain trackers, a library of past studies and learnings, and research budget and timeline records.
  • Use modern tools. Use GenAI and analysis tools to speed up synthesis and reporting without losing rigour.

What We Are Looking For

Mandatory Requirement

  • 4 to 7 years of experience in consumer insights or market research, in an agency, a brand or a D2C company.
  • Hands-on exposure to Qualitative research and Quantitative research.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Research Methodology: you know which approach fits which questions work and can design and run studies accordingly.
  • Hands-on data interpretation: You can work through surveys and tracking data and turn them into clear, actionable insights.
  • Experience with Consumer interactions and insights, from speaking with consumers to drawing out what matters.
  • Qualitative experience, particularly exploratory research (FGDs, IDIs or immersions), and the ability to summarise them into themes.
  • Good command of Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Graduate or postgraduate degree, ideally MBA / PGDM (Marketing) or equivalent.

Additional Requirement

  • Exposure to AI-driven insight tools, social listening platforms, or e-commerce/quick-commerce analytics
  • Exposure to FMCG (Home care, Personal care) industry.
  • Experience supporting NPD launches from exploratory research through to post-launch evaluation.
  • Brand health tracking experience.
  • Concept testing experience.
  • Pre and Post Campaign evaluation experience.
  • Familiarity with syndicated data and brand tracking platforms.

Who You Are

  • Proactive - You don't wait to be told a metric or perception is slipping; before marketing asks what happened, and you come with the why, not just the what
  • Ownership Driven - You own the research question end-to-end — from writing the brief to fieldwork to the final recommendation that actually gets used
  • Data Conscious - You validate every insight or consumer said claim across segments, methodologies, and sample sizes before it goes to leadership
  • Organized - you run a busy, always-on calendar of trackers, ad-hoc studies, and agency deliverables across multiple categories without a wave, deadline, or stakeholder slipping through the cracks.
  • Progressive Learner - You understand that Learning is a continuous process and are willing to learn new methodologies and ways of working, while being unafraid to think outside the box and putting across your PoV.
