Job Title: Executive / Senior Executive – Trade Finance Operations
Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced professional to manage Trade Finance Operations, including Letters of Credit (LC), Bank Guarantees, Telegraphic Transfers (TT), import-export documentation, and regulatory compliance. The role requires close coordination with banks, internal stakeholders, and government authorities to ensure seamless execution of domestic and international trade transactions while maintaining compliance with applicable regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete lifecycle of Letters of Credit (LC), including opening, advising, amendments, negotiations, document scrutiny, and closure.
- Handle Bank Guarantee documentation, issuance, amendments, renewals, and closure.
- Process Overseas Telegraphic Transfers (TT) and domestic payments, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
- Coordinate with banks and internal departments for smooth processing of import and export transactions.
- Maintain accurate accounting entries and perform reconciliation of all international and domestic trade finance transactions.
- Conduct monthly reconciliation of trade finance-related accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Ensure compliance with IDPMS/EDPMS regulations and facilitate timely closure of all pending cases.
- Prepare, verify, and maintain import-export documentation, including Commercial Invoices, Bills of Entry (BOE), Bills of Lading (BL), Shipping Bills, Packing Lists, and other statutory documents.
- Ensure adherence to RBI, FEMA, DGFT, Customs, and other applicable regulatory guidelines related to international trade.
- Maintain proper records and documentation for audit, statutory compliance, and internal controls.
- Liaise with banks, customs authorities, freight forwarders, and vendors for smooth execution of trade finance activities.
- Generate MIS reports and provide periodic updates on trade finance transactions and outstanding cases.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA (Finance) will be an added advantage.
- 3–8 years of experience in Trade Finance Operations, preferably in a manufacturing or export-oriented organization.
- Strong knowledge of Letters of Credit (LC), Bank Guarantees, TT payments, and import-export procedures.
- Good understanding of IDPMS, EDPMS, FEMA, RBI guidelines, Customs regulations, and DGFT procedures.
- Hands-on experience with import/export documentation, including Invoice, BOE, BL, Shipping Bill, Packing List, Certificate of Origin, etc.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Tally, or equivalent) and advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, reconciliation, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with banks and cross-functional teams.
