Role Criticality & Strategic Importance
The R&M Procurement Role Is Highly Strategic And Plays a Vital Part In Ensuring Smooth Operations Across Our PAN India Network Of 1,100 COCO Stores, With An Annual Addition Of 200 New Stores Year-on-year. The Scope Includes End-to-end Accountability For Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs) And Procurement Across Multiple Critical Categories Such As:
- HVAC
- DG
- Fire Alarm Systems (FAS)
- Lifts
- CCTV
- Music systems
This role is also responsible for negotiation, renewals, and compliance, including:
- Lift license renewals before expiry
- Fire extinguisher refilling and timely replacement from a safety and statutory compliance standpoint
Operational Load & Need for Senior Capability
Currently, the role involves handling a very high transaction volume. In FY26 alone, 7,000 R&M quotations were manually validated, and with store additions from FY25, we anticipate a minimum 15% increase in the current financial year. This quantum of work is unsustainable without process automation and strategic intervention.

- Design and implement automation and system-driven processes
- Eliminate repetitive manual activities such as rate validations
- Bring structured governance and accountability to a rapidly growing store network
- Take ownership of R&M procurement at scale

Based On The Responsibility Level, Decision-making Impact, And Workload Complexity, This Role Clearly Exceeds a Senior Executive Scope. Elevating It To An Assistant Manager (Band 10) Will:
- Enable us to attract the right market talent
