Responsibilities
We are looking for a Oracle Database Administrator who will support the installation, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of Oracle databases. The role requires strong analytical skills, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work closely with senior DBAs and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and upgrading of Oracle database servers.
- Support daily database monitoring, health checks, and performance observation.
- Help in creating and managing users, roles, and permissions.
- Assist in backup and recovery tasks under the guidance of senior DBAs.
- Monitor database performance and escalate issues to the senior team when required.
- Perform routine database maintenance, cleanup, and patch updates.
- Support development teams with SQL queries and basic troubleshooting.
- Ensure data security, integrity, and compliance with standards.
- Document processes, configurations, and changes.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of Oracle Database Architecture.
- Knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL fundamentals.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix commands (preferred).
- Good analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- Oracle certification (OCA) is an added advantage.
- Internship or academic project experience in databases is beneficial.
