Description
Cloud Engineering supports the firm by delivering modern platform capabilities, observability services, and engineering enablement across distributed systems. The Platform Security team safeguards cloud platforms by implementing securebydefault patterns, enforcing guardrails, and supporting threat detection, response, and continuous security improvement across digital services
Responsibilities
Security Engineering & Implementation
- Implement cloud security controls across identity, network, data, and infrastructure according to platform standards and guardrails.
- Configure and maintain secure cloud resources including IAM/RBAC, secrets, policies, encryption and firewall/security groups.
- Support enforcement of cloud security policies and compliance baselines.
- DevSecOps Integration
- Integrate basic security checks into CI/CD pipelines (SAST, dependency checks, container scans) with senior guidance.
- Contribute to secure configuration and validation of IaC modules.
- IaC Assessment & Automation
- Assist in reviewing IAC templates for security misconfigurations.
- Contribute to automation scripts that identify and remediate common cloud risks.
- Monitoring, Threat Signals & Incident Support
- Assist with cloud security monitoring, alert handling, and correlation of logs and events.
- Participate in incident investigations by collecting evidence and documenting observations.
- Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Collaborate with product, platform, and observability teams to improve security posture of services.
- Maintain documentation, runbooks, and checklists for security operations.
- Learn and apply platform security principles through handson work and coaching.
- Lead by example by living by Our Values and embracing our culture.
- Shift Responsibilities & Operational Support
- Work in rotational shifts as required.
- Participate in oncall rotations to respond to and resolve highseverity incidents in a timely manner.
- Foundational understanding of cloud security (IAM, encryption, least privilege, network security basics).
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD processes, DevSecOps concepts, and automation tools.
- Exposure to scripting or IaC technologies (PowerShell, Bash, Terraform, Bicep).
- Curious, detailoriented, and eager to grow in cloud security.
- Strong collaborator with good documentation and communication skills.
- Useful to have experience of a corporate enterprise environment
- A collaborative engineer with curiosity, strong learning orientation, and a focus on quality and consistency.
