Key Responsibilities:
Network Management & Administration
- Maintain and administer computers, networks, and related computing environments, including software, hardware, and configurations.
- Monitor network performance and make adjustments as needed to optimize efficiency.
- Schedule and track network patching efforts, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Operate master consoles to monitor the performance of networks and computer systems.
Network Security & Disaster Recovery
- Implement, administer, and monitor network security measures, including firewalls, IPS, VPNs, and SDWAN.
- Perform disaster recovery operations and data backups when required.
- Maintain, configure, and monitor virus protection software and email applications.
Troubleshooting & Support
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
- Replace faulty network hardware components as necessary.
- Confer with network users to solve existing system problems.
Infrastructure & System Management
- Design, configure, and test networking software, hardware, and operating system software.
- Manage local servers (Windows/Linux) and cloud servers (AWS or similar).
- Implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including routers, switches, wireless access points, firewalls, and controllers.
Collaboration & Documentation
- Provide detailed recommendations for hardware and software selection.
- Work effectively with IT staff at all levels and with external stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for network systems and operations.
