Job Description – Executive (HR) Assistant Intern

We are looking for a driven, empathetic, and detail-oriented individual to join as an Executive (HR) Assistant Intern. As an award-winning creative agency, SimplePlan Media thrives on structure, creative problem-solving, and building high-impact systems.

In this role, you will work directly alongside our Head of People & Culture—a legally blind ex-entrepreneur and leadership team member—acting as an operational multiplier and executive right-hand. Because the executive leads the People & Culture function, your primary daily focus will centre on executive assistance, productivity support, and visual execution, while gaining hands-on exposure to core HR operations, policy execution, and human-centric systems.

About the role:

  • Internship duration: 3–6 months
  • Remuneration: INR 10,000 – INR 20,000/month stipend (depending on suitability for the role; inclusive of 10% TDS deduction)
  • Work days: Monday to Friday
  • Work hours: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Setup: Fully on-site role
  • Location: Sant Nagar, New Delhi – 110065

What would your day look like:

Executive Assistance & Operations (Primary Focus):

  • Assist the Head of People & Culture with daily operational and visual execution tasks, including creating, formatting, auditing, and editing spreadsheets, documents, and presentation decks.
  • Help manage schedules, streamline administrative workflows, and track key strategic company initiatives to maximise leadership efficiency.
  • Offload routine tasks and execution items to allow leadership to focus on high-impact strategy and organisational growth.
  • Observe and support team dynamics to help build inclusive systems where every individual can perform at their best.

HR & People Operations (Secondary Support):

  • Maintain accuracy across people-related data, employee records, and internal databases.
  • Support end-to-end recruitment, candidate document audits, and reference check coordination.
  • Assist with day-to-day employee lifecycle processes (onboarding, offboarding, appraisals, check-ins, birthdays, and anniversaries).
  • Coordinate with internal team members on routine people-related inquiries and operational logistics.

You must:

  • Communicate clearly, empathetically, and professionally across all internal and external interactions.
  • Be comfortable taking initiative, multitasking, and managing priorities independently in an execution-focused environment.
  • Have high precision, meticulous organisational skills, and absolute respect for confidentiality.
  • Practice active listening, strong follow-through, and prompt turnaround times.

You are likely to enjoy this role if you:

  • Are a fresh graduate from Executive Assistance, Personal Assistance, HR, Social Work, or related fields.
  • Genuinely care about people and are curious about how workplace cultures, policies, and systems are built to serve real people.
  • Learn best by doing, taking ownership, and working directly alongside executive leadership.
  • Believe in creating thoughtful, equitable systems where everyone can succeed.
