Role Description The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for overseeing all housekeeping operations to ensure clean, safe, and well-maintained guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. This full-time, on-site role in Haridwar includes supervising housekeeping and laundry teams, planning daily cleaning schedules, and maintaining Hyatt standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation. The Executive Housekeeper will manage inventory and ordering of cleaning supplies and linen, coordinate with Front Office and Engineering on room readiness and maintenance issues, and implement efficient processes to optimize staffing and productivity. The role also involves training and coaching team members, conducting regular inspections, handling guest feedback and special requests, and supporting hotel-wide initiatives to enhance guest satisfaction and operational excellence.
Qualifications
- Strong housekeeping and laundry management skills, including oversight of linen quality, cleaning procedures, and hygiene standards.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities to collaborate with teams and respond effectively to guest needs.
- Proven organization skills for scheduling, inventory control, and maintaining accurate records and reports.
- Experience in team training, coaching, and performance management within housekeeping or hotel operations.
- Prior experience as an Executive Housekeeper or in a senior housekeeping role in a hotel or resort environment.
- Knowledge of safety, health, and sanitation regulations and best practices in hospitality.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, based on operational requirements.
- Diploma or degree in Hotel Management or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Comfort with basic technology tools and property management systems used for room status and reporting.
