Role Overview
We are building an India-based Center of Excellence (COE) to support a US-based accounting software product. The team will be responsible for
product implementation, configuration, customer training, functional consulting, and ongoing application support for US-based clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and configure the accounting software based on client business requirements.
- Work with US clients to understand accounting processes, workflows, and reporting requirements.
- Conduct requirements gathering, solution design, testing, data validation, and implementation activities.
- Provide product demonstrations and end-user training through virtual sessions and documentation.
- Provide Tier 1/Tier 2 functional application support and troubleshoot customer issues.
- Analyze issues, identify root causes, and coordinate with product/engineering teams when technical escalation is required.
- Create and maintain user guides, training materials, FAQs, and implementation documentation.
- Participate in product releases, testing, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate effectively with US-based customers and internal stakeholders across time zones.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 3+ years of experience in accounting software, ERP, financial applications, implementation, or application support.
- Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals: GL, AP, AR, invoicing, payments, bank reconciliation, financial reporting, and month-end processes.
- Experience in software implementation, configuration, functional consulting, or customer support.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to explain accounting and software concepts clearly to non-technical users.
- Strong written and spoken English, with confidence communicating with US customers.
- Comfortable working in a customer-facing environment and across US time zones.
- Strong documentation and training skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting US accounting practices, GAAP, taxation, payroll, or financial reporting.
- Experience with ERP/accounting platforms such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage, Microsoft Dynamics, Xero, or similar products.
- Experience working with SaaS/cloud-based applications.
- Basic understanding of APIs, integrations, SQL, or data migration is an advantage.
- Relevant accounting qualification such as CA, CMA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent is a plus.
