Purpose:
- Lead, manage and coordinate strategic security architectural concerns across the business domain.
- Build and run a team of security architects & consultants aligned to the domain.
- Own the relationship with allocated business unit and provide security consultancy
- As part of Domain consultancy provide expert security advice across large scale, complex technology programs ensuring that work completed by Technology organizations with NAB, meet or exceeds the required security risk posture.

- Understand the trade-offs involved in technology change while simultaneously delivering security risk reduction. Requires commercial acumen, business alignment and ability to negotiate.
Key Accountabilities:
- Develop & Maintain a high-level holistic version of domain architecture strategy and multiyear roadmap/ target state.
- Lead a team of Security Architects/Consultants
- Lead and drive risk reduction within the domain both identifying and rapidly resolving security risk.
- Support the development of security requirements for BU/Domains and ensure security outcomes are prioritised
- Represent an enterprise-wide perspective on re-use and optimisation of security choices
- Proactively look for opportunities to decommission legacy technologies or to otherwise simplify our technology landscape and operating model.
- Collaborate with cross domain business / tech/ arch stakeholders to navigate trade-offs between achieving business value versus adhering to architectural guard-rails and our risk and regulatory obligations
- Influence tech debt reduction and legacy decom to reduce security impacts and elevated business threats
- Drive security architectural decisions via governance forums
- Participate in Progressive Elaboration /planning days and understand the businesses future business needs and proactively shape security investment
- Ensure security patterns are utilised consistently, and deviations are minimised
Key Decisions:
- Target state security architectures and roadmaps and support overarching technology strategic outcomes
- Support identification and reduction of cyber security risk considering both policy and requirements or identified new/novel risks that require uplift within NAB's security posture.
- Pattern identification and development to reduce bespoke solutions
- Drive adoption and adherence to security policy and pattern consumption
- Creation/management/uplift of domain consulting standard processes/ Non function requirements, and security requirements on behalf of the organization.
Experience Required
- Over 20 years of overall experience, with 5-10 years experience in leading large teams.
