Executive Director – Munjal Institute for Global Manufacturing

The Munjal Institute for Global Manufacturing (MIGM) at the Indian School of Business is seeking a visionary Executive Director to lead its mission of advancing manufacturing excellence through research, pedagogy, and industry engagement. While the Institute has established strong foundations in defence and aerospace, the next phase of growth will expand into sustainable manufacturing, digital transformation, and global supply chains — shaping the future of industry across multiple domains.
Key Responsibilities
1. Academic Research
- Foster collaborations with ISB faculty, international scholars, and research institutions.
- Drive high-quality, applied research in manufacturing, supply chains, sustainability, and innovation.
- Broaden the Institute's research agenda into emerging areas such as digital manufacturing, Industry 4.0, and global supply chain resilience.
- Publish impactful studies that inform industry practices and policy frameworks.
2. Outreach
- Build and strengthen partnerships with industry leaders, policymakers, and global institutions.
- Conceptualize and lead flagship events and summits that convene stakeholders across defence, aerospace, sustainability, and digital transformation.
- Expand the Institute's portfolio of initiatives to address challenges in global supply chains and sustainable manufacturing.
- Enhance visibility through media engagement, thought-leadership publications, and global networks.
- Lead fundraising and sponsorship initiatives to support the Institute's growth.
3. Pedagogy
- Develop and oversee executive education programs tailored to manufacturing leaders and policymakers.
- Integrate new themes — sustainability, digital transformation, and global supply chains — into ISB's academic curriculum.
- Mentor students and professionals, fostering the next generation of manufacturing leaders.
- Innovate teaching methods that blend academic rigor with industry relevance.
Qualifications
- Senior leadership experience in academia, industry, or policy with deep knowledge of manufacturing and global supply chains.
- Advanced degree (PhD/MBA/Engineering with a focus on operations management, supply chain or related field) preferred.
- Proven track record in research, industry engagement, and program development.
- Strong communication and networking skills to represent MIGM at national and international forums.
- Commitment to advancing India's role in global manufacturing.
