Recognized by the United Nations ECOSOC with Special Consultative Status and awarded by the Government of India with the National Award, the foundation has become a model for transformative social innovation and youth-led community development.
With a network of over 100,000 youth interns and volunteers, Ladli Foundation addresses pressing issues such as routine immunization, COVID-19 vaccination, and tuberculosis eradication, while also advancing gender equality and sustainable living aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Its international arm, Ladli Foundation USA, further strengthens its global mission and strategic partnerships.
Role Overview:The Executive Director (ED) will serve as the strategic and operational leader of Ladli Foundation Trust, responsible for driving the organization's growth, operational excellence, and long-term sustainability.
The ED will lead organizational development, strategic planning, partnerships, fundraising, and program effectiveness to ensure impactful delivery across all initiatives. As the face of the organization, the ED will build visibility, foster institutional collaborations, and strengthen Ladli Foundation's position as a thought leader in the development ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:1. Strategic Leadership & Organizational Development- Lead the design and implementation of long-term strategic plans and organizational growth strategies in alignment with the Foundation's mission and SDGs.
- Strengthen internal systems, governance structures, and performance frameworks to enhance operational efficiency and accountability.
- Guide the senior management team and ensure cohesive alignment between programs, communications, and strategic goals.
- Foster a culture of innovation, inclusion, and continuous learning within the organization.
2. Program Excellence & Impact Enhancement- Oversee planning, implementation, and evaluation of all programs to ensure high-quality delivery and measurable impact.
- Strengthen monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) systems to ensure data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Encourage the design and scaling of innovative models that can be replicated at the national and international levels.
- Ensure projects align with government priorities and global frameworks like One Earth-One Health and the UN SDGs.
3. Partnerships & Institutional Relations- Develop and nurture strategic partnerships with government agencies, international organizations, corporates, and academic institutions.
- Represent the organization in policy forums, national and global conferences, and multi-stakeholder platforms.
- Strengthen relationships with key stakeholders, donors, and allies to expand the organization's influence and collaborative opportunities.
- Drive institutional linkages for joint programs, research collaborations, and public-private partnerships (PPPs).
4. Fundraising & Resource Mobilization- Lead fundraising strategies and diversify funding streams through institutional donors, CSR partnerships, government grants, and high-net-worth individuals.
- Ensure effective donor engagement, reporting, and stewardship to build long-term funding relationships.
- Oversee proposal development and ensure alignment with funder priorities and organizational strengths.
5. Communication, Branding & Visibility- Strengthen the organization's public image through strategic communications, media engagement, and digital visibility.
- Position Ladli Foundation as a thought leader and credible partner in the development ecosystem through publications, campaigns, and advocacy.
- Oversee storytelling and impact documentation to effectively communicate achievements to donors and the public.
6. Governance & Compliance- Work closely with the Board of Trustees to ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and fiduciary requirements.
- Prepare periodic reports, impact summaries, and strategic updates for the Board.
- Uphold the highest standards of transparency, ethics, and integrity in all organizational operations.
Qualifications & Experience:- Master's degree in Social Work, Development Studies, Public Policy, Management, or related fields.
- Minimum 15 years of progressive leadership experience in the non-profit or development sector.
- Proven track record in strategic leadership, institutional development, fundraising, and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience working with government agencies, UN bodies, CSR entities, and international development partners.
- Strong understanding of program management, impact assessment, and SDG-aligned development frameworks.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and team-building skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multicultural teams and manage complex, multi-sectoral projects.
