We are looking for an Executive Director Finance & Corporate Strategy to anchor the financial leadership of a large, fast-scaling retail gems and jewellery enterprise headquartered in Surat, Gujarat. This is a top-tier leadership role with ownership of financial strategy, governance, capital planning, and enterprise-wide performance management.

You will work directly with promoters and the Board, shaping the organization's long-term growth roadmap, strengthening governance, and preparing the business for future capital market opportunities, including IPO readiness. This role goes far beyond traditional financeit is about building a financially resilient, investment-ready organization.

What You'll Own
Enterprise Financial Strategy
Drive long-term financial strategy aligned with aggressive growth and expansion plans.

Act as a trusted strategic partner to promoters and the Board on investments, capital deployment, and margin optimisation.

Provide sharp financial insights to guide pricing, expansion, store rollouts, and supply chain decisions.

Planning, Reporting & Performance Management
Lead enterprise-wide budgeting, forecasting, and multi-year financial planning.

Establish robust MIS, dashboards, and financial KPIs for real-time business visibility.

Ensure high-quality, transparent reporting for leadership and external stakeholders.

Governance, Compliance & Capital Markets Readiness
Strengthen internal control systems, audit processes, and governance frameworks.

Own statutory compliance, accounting standards adherence, and regulatory reporting.

Lead end-to-end financial readiness for IPO or public market compliance, working closely with auditors, bankers, and legal advisors.

Risk, Controls & Financial Discipline
Identify financial, operational, and market risks and build effective mitigation frameworks.

Ensure asset protection, fraud prevention, and ethical financial practices.

Institutionalise financial discipline across business units.

Leadership & Cross-Functional Influence
Build and lead a strong finance, accounts, taxation, and compliance team.

Partner with operations, merchandising, procurement, and supply chain teams to embed financial thinking into decision-making.

Act as a finance evangelist, driving data-backed decision-making across the organization.

Who Will Succeed In This Role
Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with extensive senior leadership experience in finance.

Background in large-scale retail, consumer businesses, manufacturing, or high-growth enterprises.

Strong hands-on experience in governance, financial controls, capital structuring, and regulatory frameworks.

Exposure to IPO preparation, investor interactions, or capital market processes is highly preferred.

Strategic thinker with the confidence to operate at Board and promoter level.

Proven people leader with high integrity, maturity, and business acumen.
