Role Description

We are seeking an experienced cross-asset structuring professional to lead the origination, structuring, and delivery of bespoke multi-asset structured solutions for investment and hedging purposes across South-East Asia markets. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep technical expertise in Rates, FX, and Credit derivatives, combined with strong client relationship management and team leadership capabilities.

The successful candidate will drive product and payoff implementation, working with key stakeholders within and outside Nomura to deliver innovative solutions to Investment and Wealth Management (IWM) clients, institutional investors, private banks, corporates, and financial institutions. You will work closely with Sales, Trading, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Technology, and Operations to deliver compliant solutions that deepen client relationships and drive sustainable revenue growth.

Responsibilities

Structuring & Product Development

  • Design and structure bespoke multi-asset structured solutions across Rates, FX, Credit, and Equity derivatives for investment and hedging purposes tailored to client objectives
  • Develop innovative structured products including CLNs, repacks, repos, total return swaps, hybrid structures, and multi-asset payoffs for diverse client needs
  • Drive product and payoff implementation from concept to execution, ensuring seamless delivery within Nomura's systems and infrastructure
  • Create scalable product frameworks and pricing tools in collaboration with teams
  • Identify market opportunities and client pain points to originate new product lines that generate sustainable revenue streams
  • Ensure all structures are deliverable within firm systems and comply with regulatory, accounting, and balance-sheet requirements
  • Build business cases for new product initiatives and secure internal approvals from Risk, Legal, and senior management

IWM Client Solutions & Coverage

  • Deliver bespoke structured solutions to Investment and Wealth Management (IWM) clients, including private banks, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals
  • Partner with Private Bank Relationship Managers to understand client investment objectives, risk appetite, and hedging requirements
  • Lead client pitches and presentations, articulating complex multi-asset derivative strategies and structured solutions for both investment enhancement and risk mitigation
  • Provide ongoing market color, trade ideas, and portfolio optimization recommendations tailored to IWM client profiles

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Implementation

  • Work with key stakeholders within and outside Nomura to drive end-to-end product and payoff implementation
  • Collaborate with Trading desks to ensure accurate pricing, hedging, and risk management of structured transactions across multiple asset classes
  • Partner with Technology and Operations teams to implement new payoffs, automate pricing workflows, and establish scalable operational processes
  • Engage with Risk Management to ensure structures align with firm risk appetite, regulatory capital requirements, and client suitability standards
  • Work closely with Legal and Compliance teams to develop documentation frameworks and ensure regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions
  • Coordinate with Middle Office and Operations to establish booking procedures, settlement workflows, and lifecycle management for complex structures
  • Liaise with external parties including custodians, administrators, legal counsel, and third-party platforms to facilitate product delivery

Requirements

  • Minimum Degree in Finance or Business
  • Minimum 15 years experience in financial markets and client advisory with a minimum of 12 years in cross-asset derivatives structuring
  • Experience in originating and delivering bespoke financing solutions including repacks, CLNs, repos and structured notes
  • Experience working with institutional clients, private banks, corporates and asset managers
  • Strong client-facing capabilities and presentation skills for high-net-worth audiences
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks governing private banking and wealth management lending across key Asia Pacific markets, including Singapore MAS regulations, Hong Kong SFC requirements
  • Leadership abilities with experience in cross-functional collaboration
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts to diverse audiences
